REVIEW IN ONE SENTENCE: A boxing movie that isn’t just a film about boxing, but an inspirational tale about comebacks, family, self, and relationships.
* Yay for Miles Teller! I feel like he is one of the most underrated actors out there. While yes – he has had is fair share of cheesy rom-com roles, he has performed brilliantly in every single one of them, and he has recently been working on some really great stuff. Bleed For This is certainly not an exception. While his Italian accent did slip a bit in the beginning, he truly carried this movie and showed the story of Vinny Pazienza beautifully, along with the strong support of Aaron Eckhart as coach Kevin Rooney. Also kudos to him for all the weight gain/loss he must have had to do during the filming for this.
** Ok the cinematography and editing for the car crash scene was SO BEAUTIFUL. I honestly do not think I have ever seen a more stunning car accident. Seriously amazing and terrible at the same time.
