OVERALL IMPRESSION: 7.8/10

ACTING: 9.5/10 *
CINEMATOGRAPHY: 9/10
NARRATIVE/SCREENPLAY: 7/10
SCORE: 6.8/10 **

REVIEW IN ONE SENTENCE: A solid, easy watch – predictable but beautifully executed in terms of visuals and acting performances.

* WHAT A STACKED CAST. There was a lot of talent up on that screen for The Huntsman: Winter’s War. Perfect casting. Chris Hemsworth as his usual dreamy self. Charlize Theron as the cold, beautiful Queen. Emily Blunt as the perfect Ice Queen fighting between emotions. And of course, Jessica Chastain – who I’ve never seen as bad ass as in this. Also kudos to the kids who played the younger Hemsworth and Chastain. Unbelievable match, not just in appearance, but also in their little mannerisms in their performances.

** The most negative note I’d have for this is I thought the score was either very overdone, or just not mixed in well. Song choices however, were great.pkzqalui0earsohkasorh6ok5bb
